Caroline and an Assistant Lecturer in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Department
of Medical Laboratory Sciences at the Technical University of Mombasa. Her broad expertise
spans Biomedical and Infectious Disease Research, with strengths in Clinical Microbiology,
Virology, Disease Pathogenesis, Molecular Diagnostics, Public Health, and the wider field of
Medical Laboratory Sciences.
Her research and professional interests focus on medicine and diseases, particularly the study of
human pathogens, infectious disease mechanisms, and the development of improved diagnostic
and preventive approaches.
Caroline also serves as the Secretary of TUM-SERC, where she supports the ethical review
process through effective coordination of committee activities, documentation management, and
communication oversight. Her role contributes to strengthening research governance and ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards within the University.
