Welcome to the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) Scientific and Ethical Review Committee (SERC).

On behalf of the Committee, I am pleased to welcome you to our official platform. The TUM Scientific and Ethical Review Committee is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct, scientific integrity, and regulatory compliance in all research activities undertaken within and in collaboration with the University.

Our core mandate is to review, evaluate, and approve research proposals involving human participants to ensure they meet national and international ethical standards. We strive to protect the rights, dignity, safety, and well-being of research participants while promoting responsible and high-quality research that contributes meaningfully to knowledge, innovation, and societal development.

This platform serves as a resource hub for researchers, students, and partners, providing guidance on ethical research practices, application procedures, submission requirements, and relevant policies. We encourage all researchers to familiarize themselves with our guidelines and to engage with the Committee early in the research process.
